On the Bridge

Finally getting some images of Captain Lochlan with some backgrounds.  Here we have her on the bridge for the first time getting ready to push the ship back from spacedock.  Lovin' the cat the ate the canary smirk on her face.

The Bridal Dresses

For fun, I had Sadara done up in her bridal dresses, both human and vulcan styles.  On Vulcan, it would be termed a bonding dress.  I haven't decided who the groom is.  Mainly I was thinking about major events in her life for characterization purposes; and also because clothes can say a lot about a person.  Anyway...

Damar from Deep Space Nine!

Damar is my favorite Star Trek character ever!  Superb story arc.  Awesome character development!  He went from Dukat's lackey/thug to Cardassian leader/hood ornament to alcoholic to rebel leader to hero to martyr.  He's effing epic.

Sadara Lochlan as a newly minted captain

As much fun as it would have been to see Sadara as a TOS era starship Captain, women weren't allowed to command starships until the movies were well underway so here we have Sadara Lochlan in a TOS movie era uniform style as a newly minted Captain.  This was, to my great amazement, one of my favorites as it looked quite crisp on her.  I was expecting rather the opposite.

Commander Janeway

I've briefly started working out the senior officers, but I haven't gotten very much done due to homework for my college courses (same deal for my fic).  I usually get more hammered out during my month of downtime in between quarters.  Anyway, this is Commander Christopher Janeway, the First Officer.  Thought maybe he could be a grandfather or great grandfather of Kathryn Janeway, but I haven't decided that yet.  And of course that would just be my own little universe.  Who knows what canon and all the other bazillion little fan things have going on.  Profile to come when I get my shit together.

Sadara Lochlan

Captain Sadara Lochlan
Sadara Lochlan is going to be the captain in my little Star Trek universe.  I'm refining her profile a bit; but she's half human/half vulcan brought up primarily in the human tradition.  I'll post her profile again as soon as I get it just the way I want it.

The first image here is of Lochlan as a Captain.  In game, there isn't a skirt option for this particular version so props for the innovation.  I'll just have to put this as later in her career.  As far as my story would go, Lochlan would be a newly minted captain shortly after ST: The Motion Picture.

A little out of uniform...

Here we have Sadara letting her hair down so to speak in a dark chocolate brown strapless dress with pink trim.  Loved, loved, loved the half updo and the jewelry, and shoes.

Commander Lochlan would say goodbye to the miniskirt right along with her tenure as First Officer of the USS Essex.

Ensign Vorik from Voyager

Ensign Vorik is a minor, recurring character from Star Trek Voyager.  He doesn't have anything to do with my little universe here... yet.  He could later when I get that far, but that's stay a ways out.  Still he's one of my favorite Trek characters so I commissioned Nightwing1975 for some artwork of him.

Taking the Plunge!

I've always been kind of intimidated about writing Star Trek fanfiction.  I find certain aspects of it such as writing the futuristic technobabble downright daunting.  I understand most of it when I watch the episodes, but to write it myself in a cohesive piece of writing is an altogether different challenge.  At any rate, this will be my foray into Star Trek fanfiction.  I'm going to be using mostly fancharacters; some based loosely on characters I created on Star Trek Online.  STO is set in the very early years of the 25th century, but I'll likely set mine mid-to late 23rd.  This is mainly because I'm curious about the days when women were first allowed to captain starships and since only one was seen as canon (Star Trek IV briefly), it is a prime opportunity for some fanfiction to plug some holes.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy and I hope to have the first chapters up soon.  In the meantime, please enjoy the artwork of Nightwing1975 who has been doing the art of my Star Trek Online characters.
